ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION CENTER

Sierra Alternative High School is a 10th-12th grade campus providing credit recovery and original credit to those high school students who need an alternative high school experience. The mission of Sierra Alternative High School is to focus on the individual and to facilitate their unique personal and academic development. Whether it is due to academic or behavioral struggles, or personal and family situations, students who attend Sierra Alternative are given the social-emotional and academic support they need to thrive and reach their goals in the classroom and the community. Our specialized school is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education, where students have many opportunities to enhance their education through work or volunteer experience, participate in enrichment activities, and take Career Technical Education and Visual/Performing Arts electives.
